This Guide presents one of Italy's richest and most prestigious art collections and takes us, room by room, through a selection of over 60 masterpieces from the Accademia Carrara. The itinerary runs from the Renaissance to the 19th century and touches on the main Italian schools of painting, illustrating the works of the great masters, including Pisanello, Mantegna, Bellini, Raphael, Titian, Lotto, Moroni, Tiepolo, Canaletto and Hayez, with many in-depth studies and an extensive set of images. Founded at the end of the 18th century thanks to the generosity of Giacomo Carrara (1714-1796), over the years, the institute has seen its patrimony grow thanks to a dense series of donations and bequests.
