The Pierre Rosenberg collection contains some extraordinary examples and different types of zoomorphic glass that make up this modern “glass ark”. Art historian and curator Pierre Rosenberg, honorary president of the Musée du Louvre and member of the prestigious Académie française recently made this incredible donation for the benefit of the Département des Hauts- de-Seine. The vast collection, patiently built up over the years by Rosenberg, a specialist in French and Italian paintings and drawings from the 17th and 18th centuries, comprises 670 paintings, 3,500 drawings, 45,000 volumes and Murano glass objects.
